An absolutely beautiful and massive store so lots for everyone including stationary and a magical little cafe that has really nice coffee and an impressive collection of really posh cakes, at a small fortune but nice as a treat on a cold winters day in Melbourne. A true gem for booklovers.

A very large basement level bookstore that's well laid out and includes a dedicated inquiries desk. Found four books that had been on my wish-list for some time (the hunt is so much better than just placing an order or buying on-line). My brother also had some wins. The store also has a fairly well serviced cafe attached; a perfect spot to have a coffee while going over your finds.

A rare find to find a mega bookstore still around these days. I love going down the escalators and feeling like you've enter a new world! Wall to wall of books of every genre, there is also a cafe and a gifting area. I love the personal touch of mini reviews/recommendations under some books read by staff members. Definitely a space you can spend a long time in roaming and reading! What a gem!

My wife and I were here today (13 MAY 2026) to get some books and other things at our favourite bookstore in Melbourne CBD. We are both yearly visitors to Melbourne and we are from Singapore and we always make it a point to browse and shop here, because the variety of books and cards here are always very wide and very interesting. Service here is always very good - friendly and helpful. And the shopping experience here is also always very good with its wide enough aisles for browsing.
